Exploring Cricut Challenge

Hi everyone. Welcome to another challenge! This week I wanted to make an easel card. The theme this week is to make any project using a turkey image. I used the Create a Critter cartridge.

The card measures 4x4. All paper is from the Paper Studio scrap pack except for the pattern paper which is from DCWV.

Sorry for the poor quality photos. I had to use a different camera.

Chocolate Jar

Thank you for coming over from Exploring Cricut. What great projects everyone has this week!

Today I wanted to make something other than a card. I thought of the perfect gift to give to anyone who loves chocolate! I seen the jars at Hobby Lobby and knew I needed to get them. Well, I kept putting it off, but finally decided to purchase them Saturday. Well, they were 50% off!! Yay for me!

This is the finished product. I didn't take any pictures as I was going, cause I didn't know how I was going to put it all together. It just came to me as I went along.

This is the sentiment that I stamped a little scallop paper with. It is from the Coffee and Tea Treats Tag-a-Long set from K Andrew Designs. Her stamps are really great. I plan on purchasing more!

This is what the top of the jar looks like. I designed the rosette in CCR with the Plantin Schoolbook cart. The ribbon is from American Crafts Composure set.

This is just another view of the jar. The paper is from Colorbok earth tone stack.

This is the back of the jar. I tied the sentiment on with a piece of plain white cotton string. I use this stuff to make my own twine.

Thank you for coming by today and looking at my project. If you don't follow me yet, please do and I'll return the favor.

Have a great day and happy crafting!

Exploring Cricut Challenge #3

Hello everyone!

I knew right away what I wanted to make when I found out what theme this week's challenge was. I wanted to use the squirrel from the Create a Critter cartridge. He (or she) is so cute! I don't usually make shaped cards, but I thought I would try something new and challenge myself. So here is my card!

Oh, so cute! Don't you love the googley eyes!!! Perfect for this little guy.
The card measures almost 5 inches tall. The squirrel is cut at 3.5. The leaves are cut at about 3.5 inches as well. I designed it in CCR and cut using the Gypsy so I don't know the exact dimensions. (I didn't write them down).

Here is my shaped card and top layer and leaves. I welded the two acorns together to get the card and then cut another acorn out just a bit smaller to layer on top. I inked around the edges of the card and acorn with chocolate ink from Studio g. The top of the acorn is cut in dark chocolate and embossed with Tiny Bubbles cuttlebug folder. I forgot the name of the folder used to emboss the leaves.

This is the sentiment on the cart. I liked it, so I decided to use it. It cut really well. It is cut at 2.5.

This is the sentiment inside of the card. I think it turned out really nice.

All paper is from Paper Studio scrap pack.

Please take a look at all of the other Design Team projects. Everyone has done a great job!

Have a great week and happy crafting!

Exploring Cricut Daily Project

Hello everyone! Thanks for visiting my blog today. I hope you've had a chance to look at all the other daily projects at Exploring Cricut blog.

I made my card today using the Four-Legged Friends cartridge. I LOVE this cartridge. It measures 4.25x5.5
The puppy is cut at 3.5 and the circle sentiment is cut at 1.5
I used paper and ribbon from my stash.

It was a quick simple card to create!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
